THE iTaukei Ministry will be working with the Rural and Maritime Development Ministry to host the first-ever Government Services Expo at the Vatumali Government Station, Keyasi, Navosa next week.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama will officiate at the expo, scheduled for April 9-10, that aims to promote government services to around 7000 people within the province.

Expo coordinator Ana Tora said the transport had been arranged for the 43 villages in Navosa.

“We will be aligning ourselves to six strategic objectives during the two-day event so we can be focused and serve the people of Navosa,” Ms Tora said.

“They include enhancing awareness, identifying key stakeholders and building strong partnerships, community capacity building, inducing a shift in mindset, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of the services expo.”

Meanwhile, the second Government Services Expo will be held at Korotasere, Vanua Levu, next month.
