GOVERNMENT has reviewed the Tertiary Education Loan Scheme to provide incentives for students who make repayments quickly and also to open up employment opportunities outside of Fiji.

This was the word from Tertiary Scholarship Loan scheme CEO Bobby Maharaj to hundreds of high school students during the University of the South Pacific Lautoka Campus Open Day last week.

He urged students to look outside of traditional career choices when selecting their programs of study.

“One of the reforms we have done recently is we have restructured the repayment system whereby if you have paid within a certain number of years, you could get discounts as high as 50 per cent,” Mr Maharaj said.
