IMPROVING the agro-industries has been a core focus of Government in the 2019-2020 National Budget with the allocation of $4.5million for a nation-wide agriculture census, says Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.
“That census will paint a comprehensive picture of commercial and non-commercial farms across Fiji, providing critical research and insight on what, how and where our farmers should be planting to maximise profits and how we attract large-scale commercial farming investments and improve our food security,” he said.
He explained there efforts also being made to support farmers.
