GOVERNMENT is in the process of setting up a parole board, Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum told Parliament yesterday.
He highlighted this issue while MPs were debating the Corrections Service Amendment Bill 2019.
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said they would need to complete some work before the board was set up.
“We are currently looking for four members of the parole board,” he said.
“There is no funding required and we got some work to do before the board is up and running.”
