IT is always good to give freely and in abundance to those who do not have.

Joe Rodan, the chairman of the Paradise Beverages Sports Social, Health and Well-being club, said this during the group’s first charity activity where they fed the homeless around the Suva area.

More than 15 staff members of the brewery ventured out early yesterday to hand out hot meals and drinks to those who have made the streets their home.

Mr Rodan said more than 175 employees were part of the club and fundraising events were held every year to help those in need.

The feeding started from Ratu Sukuna Park before the group moved to Toorak in Suva.

He said the club also visited orphanages and homes for aged persons.

The group’s main project for this year involves the renovation of the men’s ward at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva.
