THE German Bundesliga football competition resumes this weekend after a four-week-break.

According to the Bundesliga official website, Borussia Dortmund leads the standings with 42 points followed by Bayern Munich on 36 after 17 rounds of competition.

Monchenglabach is in third place with 33 points, while Leipzig in fourth with 31 points.

In matches this week, Bayern hosts Hoffenheim while Dortmund travels to play Leipzig.
