GC2018: Fijian swimmers qualify for 100m semis

Update: 2:16PM FIJIAN swimmers Epeli Rabua Herbert and Taichi Vakasama have qualified for this afternoon’s 100metre semi-finals after their heats this morning in the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, Australia.
Herbert finished fifth in the men’s 100m breastroke with a time of 1.05.46 minute in heat 2, while Vakasama finished with a time of 1.04.25 minute in heat 3.
Matelita Buadromo won her 50m freestyle heat with a time of 27.19 seconds, while Cheyenne Rova finished on 27.08s in her heat.
Coach Sharon Smith said the swimmers had been trying their best after the mixed results yesterday.
