GC2018: Fiji Pearls lose second game

Update: 11:04AM THE Fiji Pearls suffered their second loss last night at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Australia.

The Vicki
Wilson-coached side went down to Barbados 65 – 44 in their second pool match at
the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. 

They led in
the first quarter 12 -9 however contact and obstruction penalties in the second
half had them trailing Barbados 11 – 17.

The Barbados
team were too strong winning the last two quarters.

Fiji will
play the hosts Australia tomorrow (April 9) in their next pool game.
