FIJI Secondary Schools Athletics Association in partnership with Coca-Cola Amatil and Digicel are gearing up for the annual Powerade National Torch Relay that starts next week.

The Powerade National Torch relay lights up the beginning of the most anticipated and biggest sporting event in the country, the Coca-Cola Games.

The torch will travel to 70 secondary schools on a 25-day journey around the country before its scheduled arrival at the ANZ Stadium on April 16 for the three-day Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics competition.

Meanwhile, Digicel Fiji announced its cash sponsorship for the Powerade National Torch Relay at the Digicel Headquarters in Nabua, Suva.

Digicel Fiji head of consumer sales Charlotte Taylor said the company was proud to be part of the biggest sporting event in Fiji for three years running.

“We are proud to be part of the largest sporting gathering in the country and this partnership is a milestone achievement,” Taylor said.

“We are looking forward to supporting the relay, which will be going to various schools and this will give us a great opportunity to reach out to our customers in remote areas to provide them a chance to feel being part of the popular Coca-Cola Games.”
