THE Naitasiri Day celebrations that comes to an end today is aimed at raising funds for the development of the 16 districts in the province.

Roko tui Naitasiri Ifereimi Corerega said there was no specified amount set for the event held at Syria Park in Nausori.

“In the next two days we will stress the importance of our traditions, culture and values,” he said.

“The purpose of our soli is to also help with the development projects in Naitasiri and we are also planning to build an office for the provincial council.

“The event will also see the 16 districts compete for the best Adi, serekali and meke.”
