THE prices for fuel have been reviewed and changes will come into effect by December 1, 2019.

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) has determined the prices for unleaded petrol, premix, kerosene, and diesel in a statement issued today.

The retail fuel prices for motor spirit decreased by 1 cent a litre from $2.19 to $2.18 a litre, as well as premix falling from $2.02 to $2.01 a litre.

Kerosene rose from $1.57 to $1.59 a litre and diesel from $1.85 to $1.87 a litre, both increasing by 2 cents a litre.

According to the statement, the fuel prices were determined to slightly increase for kerosene and diesel.

It stated those products were greatly affected by the rise of freight rates and unfavourable movement in the international oil prices.

Motor spirit and premix prices were stated to have reduced by 1 cent compared to the last review period.
