THE Fiji Rugby Union will today announce the names of the new Fiji 7s coaches.
Ben Ryan’s replacement has been the talk of the country since the Olympic Games.
The FRU said 13 applicants vied for the job and frontrunners were trainer Nacanieli Cawanibuka, who wored closely with Ryan, former English 7s rep Ben Gollings and former Welsh international and Hong Kong 7s coach, Gareth Baber. He is 44.
He is likely to get the nod over Gollings as per FRU requirement on the Vodafone Fiji 7s coach’s qualification.
FRU will also today name the Telecom Fijiana coach which former New Zealand 7s rep, Iliesa Tanivula is assisting in now.
