FRU calls off games

THE Skipper Cup and the Vodafone Vanua challenge will be played next weekend because of the devastation caused by Tropical Cyclone Keni.
Chief executive officer John O’Connor said they had considered and discussed all the factors before the decision was made.
“We have taken into account the players’ welfare, the ground conditions, and those whose homes and families will be affected by Hurricane Keni and have decided that we will defer Round one to next Saturday,” he said.
“We have made the decision early because there is no sign of the situation improving according to weather forecasts.
