None of the 29 Flying Fijians have shown any symptoms of COVID-19 nor have they needed medical support, says Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) chief executive officer John O’Connor.

He called for calm after fans vented their frustration on social media platforms about Fiji conceding a 28-0 defeat to France and Italy as per the Autumn Nations Cup rules.

O’Connor said despite the setback, the players remained in high spirits and fingers crossed, they would be cleared to play Scotland on November 28.

FRU chairman Conway Beg said taking two losses in a row was “tough” but the Flying Fijians had to “work with it”.
