We are celebrating our 142nd year anniversary and you can get into the draw to win cash prizes this month. Ten lucky people had a chance to win cash last month, and this month of October, we are bumping up the number to allow 20 more people to win cash. You can get into the draw simply by cutting out the masthead of The Fiji Times newspaper, write your name, address and phone contact on it, and place this in a bin at a participating store near you. Turn to Page 37 for details.

  • THE innocent are living in fear, director police prosecutions Senior Superintendent of Police Sakeo Raikaci told a special court sitting at the Fiji Police Academy gymnasium in Nasova, Suva. Forty-five men appeared before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili for their alleged involvement in brawls in Nabua, a residential suburb outside Suva City. SSP Raikaci strongly objected to bail on the grounds that the likelihood of retaliation was high and the innocent would be victimised. There’s more on Page 3.
