Bula

Attention today remained on the Lomaiviti Provincial Council meeting at Levuka on Ovalau.

Some interesting issues came up for discussions there, with the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama in attendance.

The big one on the front page of The Fiji Times’ edition for Friday, June 10 is from Levuka.

The District Representative for Nairai, Malanivosa Colati raised issues connected to rural development. He spoke about the construction of a jetty at Nairai and spoke about being labeled a ‘liar’.

It wasn’t a good tag, but it was connected to development issues which are obviously very close to the hearts of his people.

When traditional giants of the Super Rugby competition, the Crusaders go head to head with the Chiefs in a semi-final of the competition on Saturday, family members of New Zealand All Blacks forward George Bower who will be in Crusaders’ colours, will be cheering him on from Levuka.
