INGESTING hand sanitizers is the new fad amongst children, the harmful behaviour adding to the glue nightmare authorities are trying hard to address. Assistant Minister for Women Sashi Kiran sounded the alarm this week to alert parents as the ministry “has been receiving a lot of reports of children eating glue on bread and drinking hand sanitizers”. Most of the reports were from informal settlements and rural areas.
