FEAR of contracting COVID-19 is keeping people from presenting themselves early to health facilities when they develop symptoms, says Health Ministry Head of Wellness Dr Devina Nand. She said because of this, people needed to use the 165 helpline to access COVID patient care and ambulance service emergency retrieval.

TEAM Fiji men’s rugby 7s team will not hold any scrimmaging sessions against other teams in the final phase of its preparations for the Tokyo Olympic Games. With Japan on its guard against the COVID-19 pandemic and state of emergency surround the Olympic Games, Fiji coach Gareth Baber has locked out friendly matches and warm ups with other teams before the games.

He echoed sentiments shared earlier by Health Ministry permanent secretary Dr James Fong that people with severe diseases were dying at home or on their way to the hospital.
