SOME families left evacuation centres in the North yesterday after rain eased and flood waters receded. Government reported a total of 16 evacuation centres remained opened in Vanua Levu

RESIDENTS of settlement in Narere, Nasinu claim they are forced to build their homes on piles because a creek in the area gets easily flooded when there is heavy rain.
