THE spirit of celebrating Fiji Day has certainly hovered over the Friendly North town of Labasa as the national flags have been erected on both sides of the main street.

Labasa Chamber of Commerce president Satish Kumar described the celebration as an economical boost for the business community.

He told this newspaper that shop owners and supermarkets have already financially benefitted from this event.

Mr Kumar said all hotels in Labasa were fully booked and some visiting groups have had to opt for private homes for accommodation.
