Free Wi-Fi hotspot launched in Lautoka

THE people of Lautoka can now enjoy free internet for up to one hour as a free Wi-Fi hotspot was launched in Lautoka today.

Fiji’s acting Prime Minister, Attorney-General and Minister for Communication Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said this was part of their vision to connect all Fijians.

The free WiFi hotspot initiative was announced in the 2018-2019 National Budget with a $40million allocation for increased speed in public WiFi hot spots in Fiji.

These locations include My Suva Park, Sigatoka Bus Stand, Koroivolu Park in Nadi, Shirley Park in Lautoka, Ba bus station, Korovou Market, Syria Park in Nausori, Labasa Civic Centre and Savusavu Market.
