PEOPLE living in Valelevu, Nasinu and Nausori were given the opportunity to receive free medical screening thanks to the Fiji Cancer Society.

Finance manager Elina Ranadi highlighted this during free screenings held at the Housing Authority car park yesterday in Valelevu.

The screenings were conducted in partnership with the Suva Golden Oldies Club and the Reproductive Family Health Association.

She said every Saturday this month, the Fiji Cancer Society would conduct screenings along the Valelevu-Nausori corridor.

Ms Ranadi said they were trying to focus outside of the corporate and central areas of Suva.

“We are trying to branch out slowly so we’re targeting different areas every month apart from western screening week where we allocate one week every month for the Western Division.”

Ms Ranadi called on members of the public to take advantage of the free screenings.
