STUDENTS attending Sangam schools around the country will be provided lunch for the next four weeks by the TISI Sangam Fiji.
TISI Sangam Fiji CEO Jai Narayan said the council of management meeting last Saturday also approved to contribute $25,000 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. This is to help in the rehabilitation aid assistance to victims of Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston.
The organisation has suffered major damage to its schools and its properties in Lautoka, Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki areas and so stationery packs will be provided to the 7500 to 15,000 affected students.
Mr Narayan said food rations would be delivered to all Sangam schools used as evacuation centers and to as many families between Ba and Ra as well as portable generators to all affected Sangam schools.
A total of $300,000 has been committed and is to be sourced from within the Sangam affiliates that includes Labasa, Lautoka, Nadi, Sigatoka, Suva, Nasinu, the TIV and the Sangam Fiji Foundation.
