Fraser chases big fight

NATABUA boxer Franco Fraser and Krishna Mudaliar fought to a draw in the main supporting bout of the Kiran Boxing Promotions program on Saturday.

The score cards read 57-57, 56-56, 57-57.

Fraser led in the early rounds targeting an early finish. However Mudaliar took the toll and gave Frazer a tough time towards the end of the 6×3 minute contest.

“I did not want to lose on my home turf,” said Fraser

“This fight was for the residents of Natabua seaside who suffered from the recent floods. I had a few guys who came from Suva to give me a few tips.

“In the end we gave a good show for the fans. The guys I trained with were good. I love boxing.

“It’s been two years ago that I have been after a title fight. If anyone who is in the 69 category is willing to fight then I’m up to it.

“I will take each bout at a time.”
