THE Fiji Roads Authority says it will introduce speed-reduction measures at its four-lane project site on Kings Road from Rewa Bridge to Nakasi if drivers could not manage their speed.
This after two separate accidents occurred at the site in a span of an hour today.
According to the FRA, two vehicles collided at around 11am today while another accident happened close to mid-day.
FRA chief executive officer Jonathan Moore said drivers could not help but be irresponsible, which did not bode well for the four-lane project.
“As it seems that some drivers can’t manage their speed, we will be introducing speed-reduction measures,” Mr Moore said.
“We are urging motorists to please drive safely at all times.”
He said speeding drivers were compromising the safety of its workers.
