FRA plans to recruit more workers

Update: 2:37PM THE Fiji Roads Authority is planning to change their structure as there is a lot of stress placed on the current employees.

With the
planned road works throughout the country that is to be completed within the
next year, FRA CEO Jonathan Moore said constant issues and complaints continue
to rise, and the FRA was working  phenomenally hard to complete the
projects.

Mr Moore
said a recruitment plan was now on to get more committed workers on board as
FRA planned to double the size of their team in the next 12 months.

“There’s
two parts to the recruitment . One part is to create more efficiency in the way
we work, and the other part is to get more people as we are in need of more
people,” he said.

“So some
guys are working seven days a week right now and that’s not sustainable.”

“We are not
just looking at chunking out jobs for contractors to do, we will be doing the
work ourselves internally so there will be greater emphasis on our own teams.”
