A four-year-old child is dead after allegedly sustaining burns from a house fire at Waicoba Village in Sigatoka yesterday afternoon.
According to Police the victim was with a 30-year-old man who was trying to light a fire in their kitchen with zoom fuel, when it allegedly spread resulting in the two sustaining burns.
Police say the two were rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital and later transferred to the Lautoka Hospital where the four-year-old girl unfortunately passed away.
The 30-year-old remains admitted in serious condition as investigations continue.
