Four lanes planned between Lautoka and Nadi

THE Fiji Roads Authority has announced plans to construct a four-lane roadway between Lautoka and Nadi beginning late next year.
Authority CEO Jonathan Moore said the new thoroughfare should help address congestion issues between the two centres.
“It will be combination of widening the existing Queens Road and a few new sections,” Mr Moore said.
“However, this will all be confirmed in detail design phase.”
While the cost of the project has to be ascertained, work is scheduled to begin in 2019.
