Four house fires in the West

FOUR fires were reported in the Western Division over the weekend.

Fire destroyed a six-bedroom home in Nawaka, Nadi, yesterday afternoon.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the cause of the blaze was yet to be established and the estimated cost was around $43,000.

She said in another incident, a five-bedroom dwelling in Lovu Seaside was also completely destroyed by fire yesterday.

Ms Naisoro said the estimated cost of damage was more than $58,000 and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

In Vatulaulau, Ba, a 78-year-old market vendor’s home  was completely destroyed in a fire with an estimated loss of $50,000.

In Sigatoka, the Coastal Auto Investment building was partially destroyed by fire on Friday.

Ms Naisoro said the estimated cost of damage was about $200,000.
