Four elderly women perish in early morning blaze

FOUR elderly women died in an early morning blaze which destroyed their house at Benau, Labasa at about 1am.

It is understood that their remains are still in the burnt house and police is currently investigating the incident.

The women are believed to be between the ages of 70 and 80.

Bal Krishna, the property owner and son of Nagama, 70-year-old  victim said he couldn’t save any of them as flames had engulfed their bedrooms.
