Former USP VC appointed FNU council chair

FORMER University of the South Pacific vice-chancellor Professor Rajesh Chandra has been appointed the Chancellor and Chair of the Fiji National University Council.

The announcement was made in Parliament this evening by Education Minister Rosy Akbar, who said the names of the members of the council would be released tomorrow.

This will include a mixture of local and international experiences expertise.

“We are very privileged to have Professor Rajesh Chandra as the chair of the council,” Ms Akbar said.

“We have some exciting plans and I believe under the leadership of Professor Rajesh Chandra, Fiji National University is going to move in a more positive direction.”
