Former Kiwi champion ready for Fiji fight

FORMER New Zealand champion Daniel Maxwell will be out to stamp his mark in Fiji when the dust settles at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park tomorrow.

The experienced boxer is confident of a win against Fiji’s Sebastian Singh in the main bout of the King of the Ring Boxing Promotion.

Maxwell said he had prepared well for the fight and would be out to deliver the goods.

“I am here to box and will want to stamp my mark in Fiji,” he said.

“I have been training for this fight and will make my first Fiji trip a memorable one.”

The Kiwi said he did not know what to expect from his opponent and he was prepared for a tough challenge.

“I don’t know much about my opponent, I only know his name.”

“But I know it will be a tough fight and I am ready.”

Boxing Commission of Fiji West director Usman Ali Lale said the fight would be exciting and urged fans to come out in numbers and support the sport.
