FORMER Fiji Airways Drua rugby team fly half Peceli Nacebe has showed his interest of being part of the Flying Fijian squad building up towards the Rugby World Cup next year in Japan.-

The Mavua lad from Nadroga rose to stardom last year when he displayed extreme individual talent during the Fiji Drua’s inaugural campaign last year finishing at third place but Nacebe’s tour fell short after he sustained an ankle injury during the round robin of the NRC at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

Nacebe said faith brought him to where he is now and he knows he could accomplish what he wishes to achieve with faith in him.

“I’m willing to play for Fiji if I’m given an opportunity to represent my country and I have learnt a lot while playing in France and I know that nothing is impossible if I have faith,” Nacebe said.

The 23 year old signed a two year deal with Boardeux Begles a French rugby club competing in the Top 14 competition and while recovering from his injury he has been loaned into the Briverugby team that is part of the Pro D2 championship to have more game time before he returns to the TOP 14 competition.

“I am playing the position of fullback and wing for the Brive rugby team and the competition level is intense that helps to boost my knowledge in rugby and I am willing to don the Fijian jumper if given the chance,” Nacebe said.-

“I’ve gone through medical surgery with my shoulder and ankle and I’m fit to participate in club level in France and also international scene for my country.
