Former cabinet minister passes away

Former Fijian cabinet minister,  Taito Waradi has passed away at the age of 67.

This was confirmed to The Fiji Times Online by his niece, Vika Waradi who said that her late uncle passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021.

The late Mr Waradi served as Minister for Commerce, Industries and Communications in 2007.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) for over 37 years and have held various administrative and leadership roles.

Mr Waradi has a combined total of 44 years of work experience in the public and private sectors with proven skills in industrial relations, business operations, administration, marketing, and senior level management experience.

He will be laid to rest tomorrow, June 25, 2021 following a private family service to celebrate his life.

Mr Waradi who hails from Vanuavatu in Lau is survived by his wife, five children and grandchildren.
