FORMER Fiji 7s rugby player Aporosa Dauvucu continues to organise and fund mini-volleyball tournaments for the youths in Lami as he tries to keep them organised and focused and away from getting involved in illegal activities.

Dauvucu organised the Burekalou volleyball tournament and is on its second phase of competitions.

He said there had been an improvement in the numbers of participants than the previous two months ago.

Dauvucu said he would continue to help youths in his area to live a better life for the future.

“I want to expose these God-given talents so they have a brighter future in sports if they can’t find a job,” he said.

“I will continue to develop and groom these youths until they are successful.

“I will be organising a bigger volleyball tournament in the future with outside teams invited so it can give competition to these youths and bring out the best in them.”
