PERMANANT secretary for Forestry Pene Baleinabuli, says it is pivotal that the forest resources are sustainable.
Mr Baleinabuli, while opening the board meeting for the Fiji Mahgaony Trust today, said there was still a need for the Ministry including the Government to reach out to the stakeholders in the various divisions n conducting consultations with them.
“For holistic development it cannot be done in isolation it involves the active participation of all the stakeholders and in forestry we have realized that the Ministry on behalf of Government need to reach out to the stakeholders,’ he said.
“We have tried to do that in the past few months but there is still a lot of work to do but we have the done the right decision.”
