Force to maximize visibility for the beginning school year

THE Fiji Police Force is expected to beef up patrols to ensure the safety of everyone for the beginning of the new academic year.

Assistant Commissioner of Police and Chief Operations Officer Maretino Qiolevu has issued a reminder calling on the Divisional heads to maximize Police visibility.

This is in line to ensure students, parents and teachers are able to begin another school year rest assured that operations such as school patrols before and after is maintained at all school zones.

ACP Qiolevu said their main focus for now is on the movement of people conducting back to school shopping and those returning from their holidays.

Divisional Police Commanders have been directed to ensure all necessary school related operations are ready for the start of the 2019 academic year.

“Keep up the momentum of operations to ensure children are able to start the school year incident free and to the parents and guardians, and not forgetting teachers and members of the public to work together in keeping children safe,” said ACP Qiolevu.
