THE Fiji Police Force has now turned its focus on the festive season.
With the General Elections over, the Police Commissioner, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho says the focus now turns to the upcoming festive season.
“We are still monitoring the security situation during the post-election period but our focus is also on the busy festive season and the school holidays,” Brig-Gen Qiliho said.
“There’s no rest for us now and our officers are ready for the next major operational phase and ensuring all Fijians and visitors to our shores can enjoy a safe and incident free Christmas with their loved ones”.
Brig-Gen Qiliho said he is optimistic of receiving the same level of cooperation from the public in working with Police during the Festive season.
“The successful conduct of the national operations has largely been due to the support and cooperation of the public in adhering to our requests to work together in keeping their communities safe”.
