The Fiji Football Association player mid-transfer window will be open for one week next month.

Unlike every year when the transfer window is open for a month, Fiji FA will have restrictions during the window.

“Only free transfers will be allowed. We won’t accept any transfer which involves players with contracts. There will be no disputes this time around,” said Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf.

Yusuf said this was because teams had played very few matches since the last window in January.

Meanwhile, Fiji FA is hopeful COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted soon so football in the country resumes.

All matches have been on hold due to the restrictions that came into place in March.
