Food rations delivered in Taveuni

Update: 7:39PM FOOD rations and other relief materials were delivered to Taveuni by the French Air Force Squadron 52 today.
Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea said about 8.5 tonnes of food ration were transported to Matei Airport in Taveuni in two lifts to cater for five evacuation centres.
“The food ration includes rice, flour, sugar, split peas, powdered milk, tin fish and cooking oil,” he said.
There are 38 evacuation centres in Taveuni and the food ration will be supplied progressively on rotational flights in the next few days.
