Food manufacturer adds new product varieties

AFTER gauging much needed market feedback, consumer trials and internal tests, one of Fiji’s leading food manufacturers has launched new products adding to its diverse product portfolio.

FMF Foods Ltd has launched three new products and varieties adding to its sub brand, Fine Fare Bites already rolled out in the local market.

Announcing the new products in Suva yesterday, group marketing manager Poonam Kritika said the new products expanded from its initial crispy, cheese and lemon bites to fruit flavoured bites.

“The product development team at FMF decided to expand to the fruit flavour range of bites leading them to work on flavours which are popular in this part of the world,” Ms Kritika said.

“The two new flavours of bites are banana and pineapple, both based on the popularity of local fruit taste and preference.”

These bites come in 150g packets and will be rolled out in major supermarkets this week along with samples for its customers to taste.

The company also launched its new wholemeal cracker biscuits with hopes of providing a unique healthy snack for its customers. This will be available in small 44g packs, convenient enough to pack for school/office lunches and snacks.

While the company took months to develop the new range, Ms Kritika said they remained optimistic that the new products would be in great demand both local and export markets.
