The Flying Fijians could be coming up against rugby cross-code star Israel Folau who has been named in the Tonga squad for the Pacific Nations Cup (PNC) in Fiji in July.

The PNC will feature Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and Australia A

The Tonga squad also includes well-established names in the sport such as former All Black and Blues halfback

Augustine Pulu, Highlanders inside centre Fetuli Paea and Moana Pasifika outside back Solomone Kata.

Folau was sacked by Rugby Australia in 2019 after a controversial post on social media. After his sacking, he was signed to the French-based rugby league club Catalan Dragons before joining Japanese Top League side NTT Communications last year.
