Focus: Securing, expanding pension systems

Update: 1:48PM THE Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) are hosting a two-day regional workshop to help identify ways Pacific island countries can secure and expand their pension systems.
Strengthening Pension Systems and Health Coverage in the Pacific will be officially opened on Wednesday morning at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.
Keynote speakers will include Rob Jauncey, Regional director of ADB’s South Pacific Subregional Office, Jaoji Koroi, FNPF chief operating officer, Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and Ganeshan Wignaraja, senior advisor, ADB Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department.
The two-day workshop ends on Thursday.
