VODAFONE Fiji last night unveiled another impressive device, Huawei Mate20 Series, with their partners, Huawei in the Fiji market.

Speaking at the launch held at the Grand Pacific Hotel yesterday, company’s chief marketing officer Rajnesh Prasad said with the increased movement towards cashless societies, they needed to ensure that Fiji was not far behind.

“Mobile commerce is yet another huge extension in the mobile communications sphere for business transactions and operations in the Fijian market.

“This very device is becoming the center of everything that we do be it communication, information, entertainment or payments,” he said.

Mr Prasad said with the ever-increasing rate of digital nomads, smart device adaptation, machine to machine connectivity, the consumers’ appetite for on-the-go connectivity and capacity remained high, and they had to remain relevant to the market in delivering the latest in products and services to manage this demand from consumers.

“The evolution of mobile phones has dramatically changed from just being a communication device to now being more digitally focused with connection to the internet of things and endless opportunities in various spheres of the consumer and business scope.

“We are stepping ahead to offer our customers the flexibility to integrate their businesses with the convergence of technology in the many areas of business and consumer operations, into designed solutions accessible with the touch of their fingers.”
