A TOTAL of 121 runners participated at the Suva 10k run organised by the Suva Marathon club along the Suva foreshore in Nasese, Suva earlier today.

The run began from the Suva Bowling club to the Rabuka gym where they made a U-turn back to the starting line.

Club president Gina Houng Lee said like all their past events, the objective of the Suva 10k run was to help in the advocacy message of healthy living.

“We are passionate about getting the people of Suva to come and join in on the run as it is all part of living a healthy lifestyle.

There was a good turn out today, not only are we focused on racing but this is for people to have fun and we achieved that in today’s run,” said Lee.

The club is left for another last marathon event which will be held on December 1 outside the Suva Bowling club.

Results: 10k Overall winner – Rajeshwar Prasad; Time-38 minutes, 5k Overall winner- Keir Barnes; Time-22 minutes 56 seconds
