THE Fiji National University’s Labasa Campus open day will be officially opened tomorrow at the Labasa Civic Centre.

Tui Macuata Ratu Wiliame Katonivere who was recently appointed as the chairperson of the FNU Labasa Campus Stakeholder Advisory board will officiate at the event.

The open day scheduled for tomorrow and Friday will be hosted at three centres – Central, Western and Northern Divisions – enabling students and members of the public from all divisions to visit the nearest open day venue and explore the wide range of programs offered at the Fiji National University.

The venues for the open days are the Nasinu Campus for the Central Division, Natabua Campus and Lautoka Campus for the Western Division, and Labasa Civic Centre for the Northern Division.

Twenty-five secondary schools have confirmed their participation for the open day for the Northern Division, and for the first time Rabi High School and Taveuni High School will also be attending.

Head of the FNU Labasa Campus Pardeep Chand said: “The response from secondary schools and the teachers has been positive and we have some last minute confirmations coming in which is a great sign as it shows that the schools are keen to be part of this important event.”

The open day will be open to students and members of the general public from 9am to 5pm on both days.
