The Fiji National University’s (FNU) National Training and Productivity Centre (NTPC) has announced its intentions to celebrate business excellence in Fiji in the upcoming 24th Fiji Business Excellence Awards (FBEA).
FNU acting vice-chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba said: “This yearly event celebrates overall performance excellence and honours organisations, businesses, and non-governmental organisations.”
“Recognising and celebrating business excellence helps motivate employees and teams to perform their best. When individuals and organisations are acknowledged for their outstanding achievements, it can boost morale and encourage them to continue striving for excellence.”
Professor Nabobo-Baba highlighted the event’s role in uplifting the private sector by honouring organisations that embody business excellence, thereby providing a benchmark for other organisations to aspire to.
“The FBEA allows businesses to showcase best practices and success stories, that set a standard of quality and performance that others can aim to achieve, thus driving overall improvement in the business landscape,” she said.
“Honouring business excellence is important because it fosters a culture of continuous improvement, motivates individuals and organisations to strive for the highest standards, and ultimately contributes to economic growth, innovation, and the well-being of society.”
Recognising and celebrating excellence, the FBEA encourages businesses to be the best they can be and drive positive change in the Fiji business community, Prof Nabobo-Baba said.
The Fiji Business Excellence Awards will be held on November 11 at the Sofitel Resort and Spa in Denarau, Nadi.
