FNRL newly-elected board to meet

THE newly-elected Fiji National Rugby League board will have its first official board meeting this Saturday.
Acting chief executive officer Don Natabe confirmed although awaiting the arrival of a number of board members currently overseas, the meeting is planned to go ahead as well as the induction.
“It is planned to have the first official board meeting this Saturday, pending the arrival of newly appointed members currently overseas,” confirmed Natabe.
“Still underway is the handing over process which is to happen within the next fortnight.”
After last weekend’s FNRL annual general meeting, six new members were voted into power.
Newly-voted board members are Tevita Korosaya, Taniela Vakamoce, Napolioni Batimala and Reverend Ilaitia Tagituimua.
Also included are Republic of Fiji Military Forces Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto currently visiting soldiers on peacekeeping missions in the Middle East and Senior Superintendent of Police Aporosa Lutunauga away on an official engagement in the People’s Republic of China.
Board designations will also be approved this Saturday.
