FNRL makes changes to constitution

THE Fiji National Rugby League made a few changes to its constitution at its special annual general meeting at the weekend.

FNRL executive chairperson Peni Musunamasi said they had a positive outcome from the special AGM.

“The constitution has been there since 1998 and it’s been more than 20 years. We made some changes upon the approval of everyone and I think they were good changes,” Musunamasi said.

One of the changes included that board members will now have to hold qualifications to hold a position on the board.

According to Musunamasi, in the past, former players were elected to the board who had no idea of the operations or the administration of FNRL.

The FNRL will have its AGM in November where its financial report for the last fiscal year will be discussed.
