The Fiji National Rugby League development unit has made a commitment to conduct landscaping and general clean-up of WOWS Kids Fiji’s headquarters in Rewa St, Suva.

WOWS Kids Fiji administrative and finance officer Marica Sovaki said the six-member group cleaned up the gardens and compound last week.

“We welcome them for the great initiative and would welcome any other organisation that is willing to come out and lend a helping hand,” she said.

“At present we are taking care of about 80 children who are bravely fighting cancer and because we have not been able to conduct our normal fundraising drives due to COVID-19 restrictions, we would welcome support from the community.

“We are not holding our monthly family days — instead, we are focusing on home visitations, weekly hospital visits, and providing transportation and medication for our children.

“WOWS Kids Fiji received donations from Australia and we will soon be putting these up on the Barter for a Better Fiji Facebook page in exchange for groceries as the families we support are in need of food.

“Anyone willing to provide support can contact us on our Facebook page.”
